h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This feature of H2G2 is restrictive and annoying.
I therefore put my journalling needs out to RFP two weeks ago and would like to announce the winner is Livejournal.

I like having everything in one place...

yeah, me too, which is why when I have one of my visual ideas I want to be able to post the stuff here.

But can't.

And I can't use any kind of emphasis, like bold or italics, or underlining. I can't use any kind of HTML to be able to link without slapping an ugly great URL in place.

And I can do something at LJ that I can't do here - the LJ-cut. Saves SO much space.

But whatever works for you. I blog for me and other people can read or comment if interested. I'm neither famous nor important and only rarely interesting so it makes sense to take the personal stuff elsewhere.

I don't mind LJ, I like the format.

But I'm pushed for time (aren't we all?) so I do it here. oh, er, missus!

Forgive me G, but I won't be following offsite blogs and journals. There's only so much time in the day and it's so handy to have everything in the one place. That's one aspect of the h2g2 community that I do like.
