I love UCAS Track!

Cost should not effect your choice of uni (Though in some ways it always will). If you want to you can get by where ever you study, it just takes a little more will power in some places which is always a good skill to learn whilst young(ish).
You're probably right about doing the research too late but then that's life.
I chose the small and friendly option (though it still has a varied mix of people and isn't _that_ small) and I'm loving it. The tutors have time to see you, you can name most of the people on your course and at the end of the day you will still make as many friends as you would if you went to a big university.

I've just been on and done my reply at www.ucas.com and I've done the following:
Birmingham: Decline (Sorry, Z!)
Leeds: Insurance Acceptance
UCL: Firm Acceptance

I'm much happier having had a good look around and I'm now going to focus on the A-levels - I've 4AS and 4A2 qualifications to get and little time to revise. Right now I'm on track for Bs in most subjects so I've got to fix a few things...

The really odd thing is that Birmingham took me for medicine with B's (and this was in the days before the 1000 extra places, where medicine was hard to get into ) I've spoken to the women who made the descion and she said that she can't remember why?
