It is with a strange irony that I start using h2g2.
I have heard of the death of Douglas Adams, and saw this link in a newsflash e-mail.
h2g2 seems, on first glance, to be something that the web was built for; an actual use that justifies the work and resources dedicated to such technology.
I am using this system, partly because it is such a good idea and partly as a tribute to Douglas Adams.

The H2G2 concept is a very poweful one. I have looked up loads of things here for RL use and been very pleased with the results. I hope to read something of your contribution too - cheers

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
