Went up to London Film and ComiCon with the Star Trek group I'm with...the U.S.S. Pharaoh...
I met Captain William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) yesterday - and he's a brilliant bloke. Lots of fun. Got signed photo and pic taken with him, and we even got a group shot
Hoping to meet Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) and T'Pol (Jolene Blalock) next May (IIRC) and Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) in February.
Oh yeah...oh yeah... :D

It sounds like you're having fun. Are the StarTrek group people generally around to do other stuff, or is it just a case of getting mailings about the various conventions?

There's 13 of us based in and around my Eastbourne (with a couple who come out from Brighton, Surrey etc!), who meet about twice a month. We do 1 Wednesday a month when we sit around and do quizzes etc., and 1 Saturday a month where we run around in uniforms with phasers in a church-hall set up like an Intrepid class starship, etc.
We also go to conventions and trade fairs, do "panel days" (where we create new LCARS panels for the Saturday meetings) and have episode viewing evenings. I even go round to the Captain's/Second Officer's at weekends, and help them work on their new house.
Yeah - it's good fun. :D
