I just turned the 35 yesterday. I know, not a major milestone or anything. But it's the first time for me. At one point 35 was really middle age. Yikes! I was thinking how I felt about making it so far age wise. I certainly don't feel much different then when I was, say 25. Well for sure not as pregnant as I was then
Maybe others are right and I'm just immature. Maybe I should start acting my age. Which brings on the question. How do people my age act? Well my one friend (who will remain nameless, but he knows who he is ) has a mortgage, a real career, a wife and several cats. He's only a few months older than I am, but we're pretty close on the maturity level. That is to say that he also reads comics, likes cartoons and such. Does this make him immature? I also know some more people that have the same type of hobbies, more or less. Okay that explains why they're my friends. But does this mean that we're all immature adults who have found in each other kindred souls in a mature adult world?
Maybe the thing about turning 35 for the first time is that you start thinking that you should start acting you age and not your shoe size (size ladies 9 ). But don't you think that acting your shoe size is so much fun? Really when you think about it 35 could be thought of as 3 + 5 = 8. Hey! My shoe size is more mature! There we go. That settles it. I'm acting my shoe size

Well, as He-would-was-not-named, I can say that maturity is definitely in the eye of the beholder. There are people older than I who I feel are definitely immature, while people younger than myself ( like my wife, for instance ) are definitely more mature.
It also depends a lot on what you classify as 'mature'. For me maturity is tied up strongly with responsibility. Those people who act most responsibly are those people I consider to be the most mature.
Just my two bits' worth.
