indeed a great shock. at least it was, as i opened my eye and focused (badly) at the pale cream expanse of melomine - stretching as far my left eye could see. it looked around somewhat confused whilst still struggling in the dim light to comprehend the objects of strange size & form in the nearto and distance. my right lazy eyelid stayed closed for business. with the mental gymnastics of several lesser known and studied species of bipedals, i realised. i, the man painted green, in the stillness and quiet humming of present surroundings had fallen asleep. the cream expanse was not some semi-barren plain, the surrounding forms now focused, were my day-to-day oddments strewn across a cluttered desk. or maybe this is still a dream, who knows ...
