Dad's cookies

Post 1

Uncle Monty (nothing much going on here then)

My grandparents had a triangular tin for biscuits; brown with flowers on it. It was filled with Dad's cookies - quite simply the finest biscuits ever to have teased my tastebuds. Dad's cookies were made by a company called Chiltonian. They had a factory which was coincidentally (or perhaps not) opposite my Grandparents' house in Sidley. More recently, the building was a DIY centre, the biscuit company having either relocated or gone out of business.

I no longer live in Sidley. My Grandparents have both passed away. Their former house is still there. So is the building that used to be the biscuit factory (or at least it was last time I looked). I don't know what happened to the triangular tin. But I still look for Dad's cookies on the supermarket shelves. I never seem to find them, though.
