Smoked salmon is nice...
But they could also be pet goldfish... or babelfishes... its up to you...

Ahh, but then if it was a pet fish (or even more than one) then it (they) simply becomes cat food.
You see, I have a cat.
Or rather, I am permitted to co-exist in this personal habitat with a feline quadruped who is firmly convinced that she owns the place and that I am simply her slave - willing or otherwise.
Actually, I wouldn't have it any other way.
