Who posts at noticeable length, who occasionally uses slightly 'off' versions of British slang (as you'd expect from an Anglophile American resident), who puts a copyright sign on their posted entries, who has had some extremely interesting conversations.....

I really wish I'd noticed quicker, or slower, because nobody is going to believe me when I tell you how many MINUTES it was before I was thinking that. The question is: how many minutes?

Pehaps I'm a cynic, but my thoughts on reading the first S/L post were 'Well, well, I wonder who this is..'
The answer of 'cute name' to Einauni Muznobotti's first post made me say 'Aha, this is a clever person who is still kicking themselves that they didn't spot the joke the first time'. So I don't know how many minutes, but not long, anyway.
Glad you don't mind, you seem to be holding up well! Any further suggestions for the Scientific/Technological sights entries will of course be welcome.

Glad you don't mind me gatecrashing! I do like to check, coz some folk don't like uninvited guests!
I'm a tad bothered by this now. I smell a campaign in progress. My big concern is that if I start weighing in with opinions, I'm going to be branded an ***hole
HVL, I'm really sorry I haven't jumped in on your behalf, but considering the shiny badges on my space, I think I'd open the floodgates again.
I'm posting this here instead of your space, as I get the feeling you're being trailed!

Real apologies for gatecrashing and trailing. Like others I was intrigued by S/L's posts on LS thread and the determination of a newcomer, to delve into something most people have moved on from. I was suprised by the way they homed in on HVL and one or two others. That's how/why I got here.
I gatecrashed to say if what you think is true, this could cause a greater row than we've seen here yet. I have seen more than I want to already. Please consider just leaving this. If you really believe it is true don't respond. Isn't that best?
If it is true I feel it needs to be sorted out by the editors, off site, out of sight.
And if you're not sure give S/L the benefit of the doubt - innocent 'til proved guilty and all that.
As for trying to find out I'm not sure it matters. If this new researcher keeps to house rules there's no harm done is there? Each of us can get involved with them, or not, depending on whether we find ourselves on their wavelength, or not . . .
I will unsuscribe from this now to leave at least one less trail to this thread, not that my homespace is much of a thoroughfare.

Mistdancer I think you're right about the badges,
HVL you have my concern for what has been at the least an unenjoyable time, and my confession to not getting that plane to work. Yet.
