I have Telewest Cable TV. I don't want it. I've been trying to get rid of it since June. Would they disconnect me? Would they hell!
Phone call after phone call. Letter after letter. Then they start sending me bills. And oddly enough, these bills threaten to disconnect me if I don't pay them.
Needless to say, I didn't. So I ring them up, and ask them, yet again, to come and take the set top box away. They tell me "sorry, we cannot disconnect you because you owe us money".
This morning, I get a letter. Informing me that my account is suspended, and that if they don't receive 6 month's money in 10 days, they will cut me off, and charge me £150 for the set top box!!
This is the most appalling example of customer service I have ever come across. I am truly disgusted.
And yes, I am writing to their Head Office!

What sort of details do you want? Stuff like account refs and the like?
Seriously though, any help of any kind would be very gratefully received.. I'm just sick and tired of being ignored. And I am NOT paying them a penny more.

At last!!! Numerous calls later, I finally got the jiffy bag thingy through today to send the damn box back! And they *apparently* have cleared the debt off the account! Result!!!!

There's a new 'complaints system' in place, that means the complaint goes to an executive if it hasn't been resolved in 20 days. So maybe that's why it happened now rather that before.
Personally, I can't wait to go back to uni, and leave them behind...
