no we are a team in the US rugby Union....umm right now we are in Div 2...working our way into Div 1....I play for Manhattan Rugby...there are about 5 or 6 Union teams in the NYC area....a few div 1...1 Super leauge (that's the top in the union right above div 1) us and at least one or two div 3 teams....our home feilds are on Randel's island at the uper part of Manhattan...but away...the team play's or has played all over the NE and a few other places as well...I will post the fall schedule in my Journal when I get it...I think we were ranked 5th for the NY NJ area...only behind div 1 and super league teams...if we take div 2 this year we should advance to div 1 next year...should be interesting and from what I hear we have a very good shot

hmmm I think our three away games for the fall season will be two in NJ and one out on Long Island....but the spring season might see us up there...I will let you know
what got me interested...well I was sitting here at work and trying go figure out what was missing...I needed to do something and perferably something that involved a lot of exersise because I had pretty lazy sense I moved here...I started of thinking of sports I had already played then I thought...well everyone says rugby is pretty tough...I wonder what it's like...so I looked up a team...emailed there recruter and asked him what I needed to do to learn...it was inbetween their fall and spring season..so this last dec-jan or so...so he told me just to show up in central park for a little two hand tag rugby that they were planning...and give it a go mabye learn a few things before the season starts...so I did and I did and started traning with the team and playing and all that..good stuff

Well from what I know you pick a tough sport with plenty of exersise.
I have seen some of it on satillite and you have to be in good shape and rough to play.

well I had started getting in much better shape at the end of last season...but I didn't do much during the summer..so I will have to build back up just a bit...yes it helps...lots of running mainly as fast as you posibly can...a lot of hitting....and unlike football there are plays but they are more fluid and you have to be able to adjust and think on your feet more...it's a lot of fun...plus everyone has a chance to move the ball...everyone is ment to hit and be hit..so you get to do a bit of everything

It does seem a lot more fun sense you are not stuck like in football being just the blocker or defensive or offensive. If I was just 6 months younger I would give it a go

you know I have never timed my self in sprints...I just usualy try to beat the guy next to me...and it all depends who's next to me how fast I go...the faster the guy usualy the faster I go...not saying I beat him but I seem to run harder...mostly mental thing
you got a 300m..how is it...I tried to rent one for the PA meet but they said I need a roundtrip tkt and be over 25 to rent a luxury car from them

Just got back from cape cod {our annual family get together 10 of us this year} we stayed in Hyannis for 4 nights. It is really our only vacation for the year. You ever been? I however spent most of my time in the pool and reading because of my knee. I can not walk more than few feet without whimpering like a babe but the family had a good time and being the tough guy I am I roughed out being pool bound.
The 330m rides great and has loads of room. We have a 2000 model we picked up as a left over and saved about 7k on. We needed a big car for the family since we have 3 kids and a mother in law who now lives with us.
That is a load of bull that they wouldn't rent you a luxury vehicle unless you are over 25. It must have pissed you off. That sounds like age discrimenation to me. If you are a legal adult "21" and have a major credit card they should not be able to do that. {I bet if your last name was kennedy you would not have that problem}

ah well I turn 24 this year...matter of fact in a little less then a month then I will only have one more year till they can't turn me down...oh well...I personaly will be shopping for a much smaller more econmical car and right after that 10 mins of my time I will go find a quick little fun car ...I have been putting off buying a car because I haven't really needed it...but lately the number of local trips I have been taking has jumped dramaticly so It might be cheaper and easier to pay 3 or 4 k for a nice little reliable car nothing fancy mind you and pay for the el cheapo libility insurnce then to have to keep renting and borowing and begging for rides...I will need something good enough for 3 or 4 mile trips without worrying to much but it won't have to be a daily driver so that's good...I would prob use it just on weekends and for the ocasional call in
no I have never been there...I will put it on my very long list of places I would like to go...I have a friend that seems to like traveling as much as I do...she has already said she's up to comeing with me to pitsburg to hit a wedding and look around...so if I did have a trip able car I would have someone to go with...we will see...I prob won't buy till after the new year...don't want to totaly skimp out on x-mass pres this year
