Dont know what to say, but hiding his illness and still having sex, thats not far from manslaughter is it

That's such a shame, but as you say then there was a lot of ignorance and deniability

Well quite, I had a very weird moment, when he told me. I was stood at the end of his (my friend's partner)hospital bed, he was in a terrible way, hooked up to all sorts of machinery, oxygen etc, and I remember simultaneously feeling utter sympathy and thinking 'you(he) killed my best friend'.

That must have been very hard to take, and the anger must have been strong... people say thats life... its not, it is just very unfair to take someone so young that was not their fault, gay or not gay no one deserves that and not even knowing that their partner carried the virus and they knew it... selfish bastard

It was...and he was, selfish and a bast*rd! We had never got on, he'd manage to put off and alienate every one of my friend's friends. Except me and I was the one he most wanted rid of, because my friend and I were so close and shared such history. Curiously, after my friend died, I was the one he wanted to be around and be around him, as I was the only one who was at least as close to my friend as he was, and could evoke and keep his memory alive. It was an odd couple of years before he too died.

It is obviously heavy and there in your mind to be mentioning it now after all these years, have you ever spoken to anybody about this before, as if you havent you need to, it is a ghost you need to put to bed now, clear your heart and thoughts and pass on the memory to the grave....otherwise it will bring you down, trust me i have been there

This was a bit heavy for Sunday, sorry guys...and you're supposed to be convalescing young man!
I better go, my darling son is gnawing my shoulder, literally...I think he may be trying to tell me he's hungry!

Mrs Bojangles Posted Nov 20, 2005
No, I'm cool about it, in as far as I can be pretty philosophical about it all now. I still miss my friend obviously, friendship like that's once in a lifetime stuff, but, y'know, all part of life's rich tapestry n'all that! Don't remember why I mentioned it in the first place...but then, I don't usually need a reason to waffle on endlessly!
Take it easy BK, enjoy your party

Yes actually I'm really into Yoda speak, and make up my own convoluted variations sometimes. I haven't seen the film but I've certainly got into the concept!
Anything to do with language that's mixed up and confusing appeals to me!
Except when I'm feeling grumpy and pedantic! God I'm a difficult so and so!
