On Sunday, I walked around Wicker Park with James getting b-roll. We got a little tired because the temperature started to drop, and then I sat and listened to James tell me traumatic Sarah Schooley information.
I drove over to Lina's and waited in my truck for 45 minutes so that I would arrive at her place at 8:30 p.m. like we planned. We walked over to a nice little place called 10-CAT and had two drinks. I noticed that I was starting to come down with a cold; the first hints had come when I traveled to Krispy Kreme in the morning, ate a half-dozen donuts and started to get a scratchy throat.
Lina's place was lovely and small; she had the lyrics to the Three's Company theme song painted on the inside of her front door. After long, timid negotiations, we ended up necking until rather late. By that time I was pretty positive that I had a cold, and tossed and turned. She couldn't sleep either.
It was cold and pouring down rain when I left her apartment at 7:30. She loaned me her umbrella.
