John has been in an unusually good mood lately. He spent a long time helping me send an EDL over the network. I think he gets interested when there's something to prove. He got the internship for the Project Greenlight feature, and it looks like I'm to blame. John will probably move to L.A. within a year.
Final Cut Pro is now up and running on Chris Ottinger's machine. The DVCAM clips are capturing like butter off my TRV-11.
This morning, Chris O. knocked on my door at 6 a.m. to take me to Pete's Snack Shop. Truly a greasy spoon, Pete's is open at 4 a.m. and located on a desolate stretch of Western between Cermak and Roosevelt. I had the house special, which was a mound of potatoes and ham smothered in spicy gravy. Everyone in there was a regular except us.
Chris Vogel really wants to be my personal trainer. That is, he really wants my money. He came over and chatted with me obsequiously as I worked out on the recumbent cycle this morning. Then he pointed at my t-shirt with skeletons on it and chuckled. This Multiplex place is expensive but not too crowded, and my trial period just ran out. My mornings will begin here for another year or so.
This morning, Rana came in and yelled at Pat for not being here so she could have someone help pick up equipment. Pat yelled back.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
