Well, I did it. Finally got around to booking my flight to London for the meet (A1314253) Nothing can stop me now*
* Except fire, flood, insurrection, Acts of Bod, banana skins, u-turning taxies, surviving Hogmanay...

Incidentally fords, I'm flying from Edinburgh to London City for £64 return. Might be worth a look, although there's only one flight up on the Sunday and that's at 19:00

Gaaaa! I really cannot afford to go this year. I am sooo annoyed. Well, Jamie will just have to drink for me.

Can't afford??? You lot have your priorities all wrong. Surely you're not considering buying food and clothes and paying rent in preference to attending the London meet?

Actually, I'm considering celebrating my 28th (hmmm, I had to think about that - and I'm not sure it's right!) in style without leaving the country...

That's with BA (or rather their Cityexpress offshoot). I booked through the BA site - it gives you the time and prices of the flights down and back and lets you choose. I quite like it. Dunno if its the cheapest, but I doubt it would be much less anywhere else.

Whereabouts is the London City airport? And don't say London!

Its out at the Docklands, and in zone 3, I've just noticed. Still looks easier to get into the centre from there than from Heathrow, though.

I think you can get a Docklands Light Railway from the Citty Airport. Morecambe and Wise stop i think. No... wait... thats the alternative map.
Anyhoo, I have to be down that way at Christmas so to return a couple of weeks later will get expensive to say the least. Very annoying, but if I don't pay the plumber my house could become unliveable in.
