Bueno, ya sé que os vais a llevar esta página, queridos Moderadores, pero no me es posible escribir un diario en otra lengua que la mía materna. Probaré a añadir la traducción por si cuela. Por cierto, ¿dónde se ha ido el Bubblefish?

Parece que el tema de Palestina no puede mencionarse sin levantar ampollas, y es normal. Debí pensarlo más despacio antes de proponer esa entrada para edición, aunque, bien mirado, quizás la Red facilite hablar de ello sin excesiva virulencia...

Para mí no es política sino una cuestión de sentimientos. El sufrimiento no enseña nada, y ya ha durado demasiado. ¿Deberían los palestinos reconocer que no van a ganar y tratar de vivir en la derrota, evitando así la perpetuación del odio? ¿Deberían los israelíes renunciar a sus aspiraciones y entregar parte de lo ya adquirido con el beneplácito de los demás?

Y yo, ¿por qué me meto en estos berenjenales?

For me it is a question of feelings, not politics. The suffering does not teach anything, and it has already lasted too much. Should the Palestinians recognize that they are not going to win and try to live in the defeat, thus avoiding the perpetuation of hate? Should the Israelis drop their aspirations and give away a portion of the lands and rights they finally acquired with the approval of other countries?

As for me, how did I get into this mess?

Certainly created a stir in peer review, tho it looks like the powers that be are going to move it over to the writers workshop. Do you think you will get involved in the shaping of the article or will you choose to keep your head down and involve yourself in less controversial parts of h2g2?

I have just posted to writing workshop conversation my reply to your last message, I wanted the others to know what I'm up to. Are you going to contribute in some way to settle this conflict?

Just read you reply, it was very thoughtful and reasonable.

I'd like to help with this article and see it as a small contribution to the peace process, tho I don't have any direct knowledge/experience of the situation, also I'm not convinced there are many palestinians that have access to the www to get there points across and Israeli's get far too emotionally involved.

I'm awaiting to see how this will develop, and am hopefull that it may make a small contribution to the understanding of the situation.
