Madonna has never fatured large in my life but I now have a certain admiration for her (and her now nearly-ex husband)in ending their marriage in such a seemly fashion and thereby sparing us the agonies of the gutter-press revelling in the court cast.

Oh, thanks. I agree, sounds like it's going to be a civil divorce.

Yes - and how rare these days, especially where money is involved.

Maybe it would be different if he had the 300m and she the 30m?

That's a bit cynical, but maybe. I was just glad to be able too open the news without thinking 'there's something NOT to read'.

Hm, unlike the tabloid headline I read while in the petrol station yesterday,. On closer investigation it would appear that someone's accused Gordon Ramsay of having an affair for the last X nuimber of years (not sure how many).
Frankly I doubt it, is the man not busy enough? But also, I dont want to know, all I could think about was the anguish of everybody involved, no matter what the facts of the matter are. The last place you want your marriage plastered is all over the front of some naff red headed tabloid.

One of the greatest advantages of NOT living in Ol' Blighty is that you cannot read tabloid newspapers (or their headlines) unless you specifically choose to go to their web sites - which I don't.
I am afraid that I don't know a Gordon Ramsey from a Gordon Bennet and if it is anything to do with reality television (or television come to that), I'm probably better off not knowing.
Ignorance is bliss.

he's a successful chef with a TV career and some michelin starred restaurants, that's all you need to know.

I have never quite understood the connection between restaurants and car tyres - unless it's the taste of the food!
