I'm often bothered by my dreams. I've read books about dream interpretation (psychology books), but sometimes my dreams are so wildly starnge, that I can't even begin to guess how they might relate to real life.

Once I dreamt that there were deers in my base and there was the dream where my CO bet on me in a card game and lost.smiley - erm
What made me think about this was the dream I had tonight. I remmeber only a small part of it, which is this: me and two other people I don't know were allowed to watch the Oscars from the back of the theater as long as we did some work in the process, which turned out to be folding socks(?!).
If my dreams reflect some hidden truthes about me then I'm in bad trouble.

If your bothered by them, your subconscious is really trying to tell you something.... Do you keep a dream journal? You could also keep a seperate journal, and try to break apart anything you dreamt. I'm sure if you really think about it, you may come up with something.

Your dream...hmm... the Oscars may represent something good in life, but in order to get there you had to do some stupid task. What were the feelings in the dream? How did you feel about the other two people? The Oscars...maybe it represents something you can't have...I know!! You feel stuck in the back of life doing something purposeless, when you really want to be in front DOING something. Getting awarded for... courage purhaps? What is it that you want? You may not be doing what you need to get there... or maybe you're doing the pointless things in order to get there. It could mean a lot of different things.

Do any of these strike a "chord" (ha ha--Dorian Gray!) in you?

I wouldn't have thought abot them myself...Part of what I thought was weird is that I don't even watch the Oscars on TV and live? Anywho...
Where are you in the book?

I have a different problem...I read at work to pass the time and I'm constantly falling asleep. I'm always tired at work, no matter when I woke up or how long I slept: five hours or ten hours, I'll still be tired at work.
There is no rushsmiley - smiley

You should do a consistent time, and most people (if not all) need 7-8 hours of sleep. Also, do you exercise? If you find the right amount, you may actually have more energy.

Just a suggestion...

I know I should exercise but I don't. I ussualy only run to catch a bussmiley - erm
The thing is I have trouble sleeping. It can take me hours to fall asleep and I wake up alot during the night.
Also, I'm never so tired when I don't have to go to work, even if I haven't slept well.
The boredom makes me sleepysmiley - laugh

Why do you think you can't sleep?

I don't know...
I've had this problem for years, since high school. It was worst in the summer: I wouldn't be able to sleep untill two, three a.m. and if I had to work the next day...

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

Maybe it's some freaky form of jet-lag? smiley - laugh

I hardly ever remember any dreams... but I think what matters is mainly how you feel about them; there is no 'dictionary' of dream symbols that would always be correct.

The last dream I remember, from a couple of days ago, is obviously influenced by my mum's worries about me going on runs in the morning. That's something that I started doing only recently, because I want the excercise, and because I enjoy the early morning time - I do it around sunrise since it gets too hot afterwards. The streets are almost entirely empty at this time. So you can see why mum would be a bit worried...
Anyway, what I remember from the dream is going on a run - not in the morning, actually, but more in the middle of the day - and a car stops in front of me and a man steps out and starts walking towards me. I kept telling him to get away from me; can't remember his reaction exactly, but anyway, he won't. Then I picked up a pair of scissors that happened to be on the ground and kept telling him to get away. Then I woke up. Quite an unnerving dream!
