On Saturday I let loose my second Bookcrossing book. Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon. I dropped it on an empty sea in the trolley bus (on my way to the maternity ward to meet my friend who gave birth to baby Velina last week! ). I saw it picked by a young backpacker.
I felt both happy to see the book go in the hands of, what looked like, a bookish new owner and a bit embarrassed since I didn't really like this book. I bought it few months ago because I really liked the first one of this guy, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, and I was hoping that this would be a good one too. Sadly, I found it boring! It felt like the characters were going again, and again, and again, and YET again through the same troubles and nothing changes...
Oh, well, may be it's not that nice to free a book you don't actually like, but then again, the new readers might enjoy it more, right?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
