I must say that the last two weeks have been heavenly. I can't seem to get the smile off my face. Even if my cheeks are hurting, it's a wonderful thing...

LIFE IS GOOD! smiley - smiley

So glad to hear that every thing is going well. What happened? Great marks? New beau?

As we know, life is what we make it. Here are my words of wisdom:

Two men looked out from prison bars,
One saw the mud. The other,
the stars!

Just talking to myself here......
I must confess, those weren't my words of wisdom. I don't know who's they were. But I liked them, and wanted to pass them along.

Thanks for sharing them with me. Sounds like a quote that the person who makes me smile so much often says to me when I'm down "When standing in the mud, do not lose heart just look up to the stars." The reason why life was so good at that moment was that my boyfriend of over a year was being the sweetest possible person for two weeks and I was just crazily in love with him. After having to spend four months of talking on the phone and writing letters, we finally got to spend a week together on my break from school just this past week or so. Now I'm even more crazy about him and the smile is even bigger smiley - smiley Hope your life is filled with happiness too

I'm happy for you...really, but...

I'm married...need I say more.
I look forward to my alone time! When my dearly beloved is not in my face. When I can read a book in peace, when I can watch a whole TV show -- minus the channel surfing, when I can eat dinner when and if I want, when I can walk around like a slob, when I can wallow in the bath tub.

When he's not home... I don't have to pick up socks off the couch, I don't have to vacuum every 5 seconds, I don't have to wash dishes, I don't have to pick the newspaper off the floor!!!
aaahhhh solitude!

Oh please give me hope that being married is wonderful too. I know that my relationship is still probably considered in the starter stage but we are both so very happy and I can't imagine being less than so.

I was mostly joking about that. But, I do find my husband in my face quite often.
You must have heard the expression, 'The honeymoon's over.' True story! It comes to an abrupt halt the second you sign the marriage papers! After that, EVERYTHING is give and take. Each feels like they're doing all the giving, too.
I've been married 9 long years, and we've had a few fights in that time. (I'm happy to say, we've got the Big stuff out of the way.) I noticed that there were a lot of 'I always do this and you never do that...' kind of statements, which made me realize that he (had the nerve!) to think that HE was doing all the giving.
Both thinking like that causes a lot of hostility.
I quickly learned the meaning of -- "Don't sweat the small stuff."

I'll take my status as the day dream believer when I feel that even though our relationship is still slightly new, we have learned a good way to deal with our disagreements. I think it's one of the reasons I care so much for him is because one of us is cool enough when the other is upset to deal with the problem. I know it isn't meant to be all rose gardens and sunshine for the rest of life but I want to believe that we'll make it and be happy together. Just call me a dreamer... smiley - smiley
