scouring away those feelings

its like a kick in the nuts
losing breath and all sense
trying to grasp the air
your empty and you know it
its a slip in the shower
a loose paving slab
a tear soaked tissue
spit bubbles of fear
your empty and you know it
crying at your reflection
solitude the scariest times of all
pacing neon lit streets
staring at a screen
a modern zombie of the nation
your empty and you know it
does just existing fill that void?
you know it wont
