I just stored a new journal here - I saw it on my conversations list. It was called "for your amusement".
I have "refreshed" several times to check. But it's completely disappeared?

Perhaps I inadvertently pressed "Click here to remove this Journal Entry.." But I thought it still remained in the conversations list.

Wow, what a reaction to your journal - or the missing journal, I can't tell. Did you get a chance to see it before it was gone?

The hidden posting was my own. I just repeated what I had posted in the other thread. It was simply whisked away with no comment.
I had pasted and copied it from another thread here. I can't think why it was removed. I'll go and check if it's on the other thread still.
Yup. Here it is:

Some kiddies' sayings that were so lovely, I thought I'd post them here for people who weren't subscribed to the "Tell us a Joke" thread.
The removal of the post on this page was so fast, it must have been automatic. So why wasn't it automatically removed from this other thread?

Good sayings those indeed. Though I can't really see why they should be removed with the journal. It's even all the same copyright.

I've just checked my e-mails. I was informed - but I keep my e-mail messenger shut when I'm on line to avoid downloading too much spam.
Apparently it was a ruler across the knuckles for pasting and copying large chunks. Whatever. I hope the link still works.

Years ago when I first joined hootoo I yikesed a posting of my own (to see how it worked) because I had copied and pasted something from another thread. My yikesed posting was removed and I got an e-mail saying it had been removed for "spammming" which I thought was excessive (one copy does not make a spammer, to paraphrase Aristotle) but I understood the principle and in fact I agree with it.
The link's the thing to use.

Nice collection, and all of them ring a bell! They've gone into my folder of quotes.
