Sad about the cats

Over the last few weeks the mother has disappeared. Gone and not come back. And Mars.
So now we are left with two kittens, Jupiter and Pluto. And Jupiter is getting perilously near kitten-bearing age.
Over the last few years, 6 cats have disappeared in this way. I wish I knew exactly what it was. Are they being kidnapped by aliens?
