The word is Hopi Indian and roughly translates to "Life Out of Balance" or "...a way of life that calls for a different way of living". Koyaanisqatsi is also the title of a movie/audio CD/video/special release DVD. If you have not seen it, do so - it's more of an experience than it is a film. Good luck in finding a copy to screen.
I have been thinking about and have pretty much convinced myself that I should spend $180.00 US to support the Institute for Regional Education (IRE) in it's effort to get the DVD released to the general public.
I have also been considering writing a journal entry for Koyaanisqatsi. I'm actually amazed that there has not been one posted to date...

Tell me more, what region is getting educated? I am interested in the Hopis and their legends of the Mendicant with the Crystal Flute that made the petroglyphs come to life as in a movie screen when he played. This ties in with theories of the Harmonic Conversion and Alien life forms having been integrated into the course of human history and other life forms on the planet earth. The legends of the Celts with their talking trees, elves, nomes, etc. are said to be true based on this theory and the Aliens returned to take these mixed up life forms away from the planet earth because they were a combination of genetic alien forms. the theory also goes that during the baby boom, the life force from earth that had been removed way back when these things disappeared was returned to earth in the form of human babies en mass.
this is how the balance was restored.
Does any of this pertain to the movie Koyasnisqatsi?

Well - I sent in the donation. If I stretch the donation out over a year, it equates to about 1/2 US dollar per day.
Key: Complain about this post
