Derby is fairly free of chains. There's a Hobgoblin's Old Institute, two Weatherspoons and that's about it. Plenty of tied houses, of course.

Thanks for pointing that one out. I don't remember if it was there or gone when I posted after it, but I think I would have noticed a moderated post. Still. Having abused my powers that are still hanging around in case they are needed, all I have to say is that lurkers are generally lovely people. And I say generally. The sort that read journals, only to pick and poke at everything that they can in some sort of 'proving themselves' attempt are total tossheads. I've seen it before, and I expect I'll see it again. And I expect this is why who did any particular yikesing on posts is confidential. Because this particular person really pisses me off with the trigger happy attitude that's carried around the site.
And that comes from someone who thinks moderation os a good thing. I'd be out of a job without it for a start...
