I must be awfully boring. Or possibly invisible. No replies. That's the story of my life. But that's okay, I guess. I'm just gonna keeping putting stuff out there whether it interests people or not, simply because it is cathartic. Happy New Year to all and to no one.

Before I go on, I'd like to wish YOU a Happy New Year. Despite what you may perceive, you are not alone. Of course it's OK to feel the way you do, since that's the way you feel, but be careful not to get mired down in it.
You have loads of interesting stuff going on here but you seem to have fallen into a ditch on the side of the road. Now grab my hand and I'll help you up. I only ask that you consider some things that may help get you started again.
I notice that your circle of friends in this forum is quite small. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's difficult to escape feeling alone in such sparse surroundings when you know there are so many others around you who might enjoy your work, your input and even further benefit from your acquaintance.
May I introduce you to an idea that came to me while contemplating your predicament? Try the "Ask the h2g2 Community" forum, a place where posts come often. If you can't easily find it, copy this into your address bar:

I'm new here and I've just recently learned of this area but I can see potential for starting conversation based on the wide range of people visiting this forum, even if just out of curiousity. Try answering someone's question. Come up with one of your own if you feel so inclined. Let me know how it goes. I'll be there occasionally as well and maybe we'll "talk" again.
Another thing that may be helpful:
I'm sure you've had the experience of stumbling onto interesting sites while surfing the web. Well, that seems to happen within h2g2 as well. Here's one I fell into by clicking on someone's name when they posted after me on the forum. It turns out that this person is a Deputy Community Editor who has links in her Personal Space leading to photographs of some of the staff and other h2g2 members whose names you might recognize from posts in the community. Sometimes being able to put a face to a name can make a difference in our perception of these "members" not as fictitious characters but as real human people. Here's the address:

Well, good luck and I hope you find what you're looking for.
I'll see you around.
