There's nowhere else to confess my feelings about what was almost a very stupid death, almost bad enough to get me in the Darwin Awards (hmm...has there been an entry about the Darwin Awards yet?) I almost electrocuted myself while plugging in a lamp cord. I'm not sure how. I've plugged in that lamp a dozen times before, but this time I felt electricity coursing right through me and AAAUGH. All I could think was how ironic it would be to die an extremely idiotic death the week before I was supposed to appear on a highly intelligent American quiz show. But I'm still alive, and I have to say, it's great to be alive. Really. If I have to die, I want to do it with dignity.

We've all done it. Killed ourselfs in highly stupid ways. However with the multi-plained universe" we always come back. Did you at least enjoy your romp with the alternating current? It can be so much fun!!

What game show are you going on, if you don't mind me asking? I'm sure a hitchhicker like you will do great, and I for one will be rooting for you smiley - smiley

Thank you for your support! I wish I'd had a chance to read your message before I went for the taping. The show is Jeopardy...watch for me on February 26! *grin* Yes, I suppose there was a certain thrill in near-electrocution, if it weren't for the TERROR factor. Much like being on a game show, actually...your heart beats faster, your hair stands on end, you can't breathe...
Anyway I'm safely back from California, and I lived, and all is good.
