Internet Dating Services - Lame, or a Necessity in the 21st Century?
Sex Boy Started conversation Sep 10, 2000
I must confess, lame as it may be, I have dating profiles at numerous locations all over the Internet, not that they've done me any good, but I can't help but wonder..... Is this a bad idea or a good idea? On the one side, you could meet some creepy slimy fat person with zero personality. On the other side, there is the slim chance that you could meet a nice, intelligent, and maybe good looking person, one who genuinely shares similar interests and whom you may consider dating. But still, what are the odds, right? So far, over the past two and a half years, I have met zero people in person, but have become slight pen pals with one, and almost met her at one point. Turned out she has two kids and is now going to marry the father.
Honestly, is this an acceptable way to meet people, or is it looking like I'm totally desperate, which I absolutely am not? I feel that the reason I am still single is that I have not yet met the right person, for one, but also that I am overly picky. I have been with somewhere around 12-14 women, but most turned out to be nothing special. Am I just too damn picky?
Wow, more questions than I thought I had.... Thanks in advance for any assistance in these sensitive matters of the heart (yeah right).
