I know it's hard to believe a blonde actually using her brain
Well I want to write a guide entry but about what exactly I do not know
Any suggestions?

I would suggest writing on anything you feel comfortable writing about and you think people might be interested in. A good place to start is to write a little bit about something in your home town to get a bit of confidence in the whole process of writing. A favourite pub, club or restaurant or suchlike would be a good example, or if you have a hobby that you think everyone else would benefit from knowing about.
Happy Writing!

Then you could write about how horrible it is, or whatever; if you imagine that you had to write a piece for a travel guide on Swindon, what would you write? (Apart from 'don't bother coming' )

Check out the Peer Review page to see what other people have done; it might just give you inspiration, or at the least (like it did to me) reassure you that people will write about an old rubbish.

Yep. Working hard cataloguing, file-shunting and photocopying. Nice to know my talents and education aren't going to waste or anything like that.
Glad to hear that you're writing something; don't be put off by worrying that it might be crappy - the whole of h2g2 is here to help! And anyway, I'm sure it'll be great!
Just because I might not be posting so frequently doesn't mean I'm not here...
