Well here it is, November 30, 2012 and NaJoPoMo is at its end. How shall I conclude this experiment? I think I will start this ending by admitting that my preconceived notions were rather lacking.
A long time ago I studied “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. My preconceived notions were largely based on what I remembered about that experience. As a part of “recovering” the Artist within, Julia suggests writing “Morning Pages.” I remembered that I liked writing “Morning Pages.” I had forgotten how much encouragement she added to her suggestion. She knew that first-timers would have to overcome significant psychological obstacles arising from within.
NaJoPoMo has been an eye-opener, to say the least. I have many traits that hamper my life. Procrastination is way up there on that list. Laziness is high on the list as well. I am not sure where I accepted the trait of valuing a difficult task, but I did. NaJoPoMo proved to be such a task. I value that h2g2, and Peanut in particular, challenged me. I value that I accepted the challenge. I value that Amy witnessed my journal. I value that I completed the challenge.
In my life I have learned many things about Physics, but it was my Mother who piqued my interest in Psychology. Learning about ones self seems more valuable. NaJoPoMo reminded me of several things about myself that I needed to remember. It also taught me a few new things.
As for “The Prize.” Well to be honest, I am not too sure. Perhaps I need to finish it just for the sake of finishing. In my world I usually look for “higher” motivations than that. Perhaps the “higher” purpose is to learn about myself by completing the project.
Thanx h2g2, et al.

I'm glad you've gained from NaJoPoMo. It seems a lot of us did. (At least, I got a page of movie links out of it.)
You'll notice you've got a new link on your PS. That's the NaJoPoMo summary for . Look for it in the next issue, for a recap of the group's experiences.
