So we get this note on our apartment door last night telling us that
sometime within the month of May, some electricians will come in and
replace all the electrical outlets in all the rooms, and that we will
need to have all of our furniture, etc. moved 2 feet away from all the
outlets. Yes, between now (the 6th) and the end of the month. They
aparrently can't be much more specific than that.
One person in another apartment didn't get the note and returned home
to find her apartment ransacked - furniture moved around, etc. But at
least she had new outlets, I guess.
Time to move...

You should be gratefull that you even get a warning.
In my experience electricians are usually the most inept people on earth at organising their work or life.
I think that inconsistant time keeping is a major part of the syllabus in electrician school

I have a question. If bricklayers are brickies, carpenters are chippies and electricians are sparkies, shouldn't plumbers be drippies? And why don't solicitors get arrested for soliciting. Everyone else does.
Answers on a screwdriver.

Oh, everyone in maintenance here is slow and inept. Took 5 calls from me and at least 2 calls from the people upstairs to get the air conditioner upstairs to stop leaking into my utility closet and flooding the place. Took 6 weeks of calling to get them to fix the toilet. (Technically I could still use the toilet by reaching into the tank and pulling the chain, but THEY DIDN'T KNOW THAT!) Like I said, I gotta move.
Key: Complain about this post
