Hello, dean
Is this a book you are reading at the moment? I've never read any of her stuff but I know $quigs is a fan.
May I have a trivia eilis/irene moment? Is she any connection of Delia Smith's husband and the Wynne Jones (forget his first name) who used to be a newsreader on RTE?
Apologies but I've got the sort of mind which likes to know these things! But I'm sure you worked that out a long time ago!

Gosh, Eilis, this might be a fun facility.
Yes, both things I'm reading today. I'm reluctant to post anything personal in an online journal, but thought a record of book MIGHT be appropriate. And interesting for me to look back at.
DWJ writes fantasy novels for children and young adults, and was doing so long before the current crop. She's less 'heavy' than Pullman - doesn't have any axe to gring pro or con religion for instance.
A film based on her book 'Howl's Moving Castle' will be released later this year, and it wouldn't be a bad book to start on. A fairy tale with a twist, and a John Donne reference thrown in! satisfactory in an odd way.
BTW where will this message end up? I suppose there's one way to find out?
