the enemy has had her letter and she is going into hospital onmonday to have her gall bladder removed. she had been complaining of stomach pains on and off for an absolute age, and was eventually persuaded to visit her GP. they discovered gall stones, but ones too big to just remove, so the decision was made to remove the whole thing. put on a waiting list, she had her pre-op and now the real thing is here. which is great. no pain for her. but plenty for me.
she won't be able to drive for two weeks and no lifting for about 4, so it will be down to me to be chief cook and bottle washer. which i don't mind of course, it's just that for the two days she will be in hospital, i have had to put in two days unpaid absence. the rest of next week her mum is on holiday, and then the week after i have moved some paid leave forward to be at home with her.
paid leave that was my last 5 days off.
in march.
so from the end of october i have no holidays until april now. by the love of paul i hope she appreciates that! if not i will flick her on her stitches.
