Burning Man

Eric and I are thinking about going to burning man in nevada in august. We'd have to rent an RV and all that. Any ideas?

Hi nolaneil,
We once rented an RV to drive from north Texas to California. It was the worst, most disastrous 2 weeks of my life.
However, for the Burning Man it might just be worth it. 
My advice would be, if it's a long trip for you and if you're going to alternate driving, to set up a driving schedule in advance. Also, make sure you carry enough water with you. Driving to Nevada in August, no matter where you're coming from, could be a dehydrating experience. It will also be much less expensive to carry food and water with you than to stop along the way at restaurants or whatnot.
I guess this is all pretty obvious. Mainly I just wanted to say hi and welcome to h2g2.
