Both of my dogs were dumped on me by folks who didn't want them any more, as soon as my last 2 rescued dogs had died (last one aged 17). We must all look like a soft touch, mustn't we?

I watched a programme about parrot problems a while ago. It seems a lot of parrots that get evicted from their homes, have to go because their "significant other" (the human they love) gets a new girlfriend/boyfriend and the parrot is violently jealous. They're extremely intelligent and desperately need a partner and, preferably, a flock and get very bored and neurotic if left alone or unentertained. Ah, love their little hearts.
