By the way, I've just popped over to GooOverflow and started a part 2 thread for your FMD diary after I spotted Peet's warning that the original one had been locked. Unfortunately, this outbreak looks like hanging around long enough that we'll need the journal for a good while longer.

You're a good egg Metal Chicken! I really appreciate you starting the new thread. I was meaning to do it - and I was also meaning to say quite a lot before the old thread was closed but I just can't sit for more than about 5 mins at the mo. I wanted to talk about the massaging of figures by MAFF and the government and also that nit-wit Ben Gill with his paranoia about "eco-terrorists" introducing the virus, but I can't manage it just now. So keep up the good work!

Ayup Chucks! I'm back. It's the new shorter (message-wise) me. I've been reduced to small doses, you might be relieved to hear

Willem! Hello. It's so nice to see you again, too. Looks as though we're both feeling better. Good news indeed! I'm trying to do my online communicating just at the weekends to start with because I tend to over do it if I'm not careful (did over do it when I first came back).
