h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Good afternoon everyone!

First of all, I must congratulate you all. I went on the thread on Thursday, and when I logged on today, there were exactly 1252 new posts. That’s roughly 10 times more than we averaged per thread on 606, in the later stages.
Secondly, I found my old etch a sketch on top of my wardrobe. Happy happy happy days. I remember doing a particularly fiendish picture of a Lamborghini Countach on it aged 9, when my sister bodged my arm, and erased the picture. I wasn’t very happy, so I cut her Cindy dolls head off, ‘buried’ the body in our sandpit and left the head on her pillow. I was grounded.

Right, time for the –of-the-Day thoughts.


‘Joke’ of the Day – Two hunters are in the woods. One slips, and whacks his head on a rock. He’s not moving, he’s pale, and he looks pretty bad. His friend rings up the emergency services. “Hello?” inquires the operator. “Hello,” the hunter says. “My friend has slipped over whilst we were hunting, and he smashed his head on a rock, and I think he might be dead.” The operator continues calmly. “OK, well, first make sure he is dead.” The operator then hears a gunshot, and the hunter comes back on the phone and says “OK, now what?”
