Listening to the Beatles and reading h2g2 and Nanowrimo. Things couldn't be better.

Is it Nano time again?
(sorry, Hi, btw. I saw you in the "what book.." thread and though I'd pop over for and a chat)

It's on November but I just want to write so I want to get started now. There people around on the forums year round and they have some ideas as far as how to get started so I'm giving them a shot.

As long as you don't actually write any of it before 1st November
I think I'll do it again this year.

I'm from Yorkshire. (and it's Yorkshire day tomorrow, so we're celebrating)
What about you? You don't give much away on your PS!

I'm actually originally from Mexico but I came to the USA when I was 15. So are you throwing a party tomorrow?

Hope you're not on the way, B'El! No party - but we will be eating Wensleydale cheese with (home made) strawberry jam and (home made) bread and drinking lots of tea to celebrate.
while we tidy up the house and pack our bags.
Getting back to NaNo - have you done it before, then? You sound like an expert.

Well I've heard about Nano a long time ago and I've been meaning to give it an honest try. Something always comes up whether it is school or life. We'll see how it goes this time around.

I had a good stab at it a couple of years ago - and am still trying to whip that one into shape. Last time, though I failed dismally. I found that I can only write enough if I have a laptop and can write while I watch TV.

I've never tried it. It's an incredibly high amount of words you have to write each day, isn't it?

1,666 words per day i think lol that's why starting early is not a bad idea

If starting early weren't "cheeting"
(although you can work out everything beforehand, plot outlines etc.
B'El. You can write in German, you know I set a target of 1,700 per day, and I can do around 5,000 if I really get going. (but then I can type as fast as I talk - you know me, that's pretty fast...) But, I need a lappie to do it, the desktop just doesn't work. (mostly because the family complain they don't see me)

Sho, I wouldn't know what to write in German. I haven't written anything in German since I left uni. And typing in German is even worse than typing in English - mainly because I've never typed anything in German (except for the odd email).

I can do both but since I have never learned German (except by ear) I don't write it at all. Not if I want anyone to read it, anyway.
