Where Does the Time Go?
Granny Weatherwax - ACE - Hells Belle, Mother-in-Law from the Pit - Haunting near you on Saturday Started conversation May 30, 2007
Almost two months since I updated this in that time I've:-
1. Got a new job slightly less cash but the same amount of holidays and a lot nearer home so saving money on diesel It's in a solicitors so boring it's not It involves some audio-typing, and those of you who know me know that I tend to wear my reading glasses chained to my neck (it's the only way I can find them ). This has led to some interesting things hitting the floor when I get up from my desk still wearing the headphones - and as for getting the two cords tangles up in my bracelets ...
2. We've said goodbye to my Auntie Suzie, she died peacefully a fortnight ago at the age of 82. Although technically she was our second cousin, her mother died when she was a few months old and Auntie Suzie was brought up by my grandmother and Dad looked upon her as a sister. She had a long and happy marriage, my Uncle died 15 years ago and she missed him greatly. They didn't have children and she'd outlived most of her friends; it was gratifying though to see people she'd worked with and trained at the funeral. Afterwards, my brother and I got talking about our family history and between us we've uncovered a couple of skeletons in the cupboard we think. Little brother has got as far back as the 15th Century, only another 4 centuries to go and then we're back in France We still haven't got to the point where the final y in our name changed from an i. He has found a connection to the Inns of Court in London, quite ironic when you think of where I'm working at the moment.

It's the same story the crow told me
It's the only one he know -
like the morning sun you come
and like the wind you go
Ain't no time to hate,
barely time to wait
Wo-oah, what I want to know,
where does the time go?

How fascinating about your family history. I never got further than my great-grandmother (also called Annie, which I prefer but isn't my Christian name)
nice to see you around, GW

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
