Grandad works in food distribution and his company had notice, a couple of months ago, that one of their contracts was not going to be renewed.
He's just rung to tell me that the company have won another contract, larger than the one they've lost 
It means that when I'm made redundant soon (again), I don't have to 
straight back onto the agencies but can try and set up my own business from home

Glad to hear it, Granny! I have never had anything to do with employment agencies, and I don't intend to start. Good luck with the business!

I've signed onto the books of the same agency four times now and ended up with 'permanent' jobs three times and one long term contract, supposed to be 9 months and ended up 18 .
I must try and pick industries that aren't self limiting next time 
I'll probably sign on again at least part-time whilst I try and get up and running on my own account
