h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

well, i've opened an h2g2 page. the idea of writing for a real-life Guide sounded pretty fun, but this whole journal bit threw me, i have to admit. i write my own online journal outside of here, so who knows if this is even worth it...

for the time being, though, i'll just say that i went running in the rain today, and i recommend it to anyone. even if you don't like running (i don't either) you should get out and try it. there's something about embracing a dreary day and turning it completely to your advantage; accepting the fact that you're going to get wet and having fun doing it. it's a good way to start running.

just make sure you take a shower when you get back. don't want the sniffles, now do we?

When I lived in Florida, I used to go to the beach in the rain. When it would start raining I'd get my swimsuit on and head out. My room-mate saw me doing it once.

Room-mate: Where are you going?

Sara: (looking under the sink for band-aids) Beach.

Room-mate: You know it's raining, right?

Sara: (standing up and grinning) Yep.

Room-mate: um...OK

I had the same attitude about the beach that you wrote about running in the rain.

I was going to say something about Florida and a bit about the ocean, but that was such a great story so I won't. think i'll just let this little gem be.
