I submitted a new entry for the Edited Guide yesterday, something I haven't done in a long time. It's all about how not to fall down while riding the tube. If you think this is a simple proposition, you'd be amazed. I've been writing about New York's subway system for some time. Most of it has been personal anecdotes and casual observations. When I hit on something that sounded like it might be useful to people, it occurred to me that the Guide would be a good way to spread the information. Predictably enough, the submission is causing me to revisit the entry to add a little more information. I'll be discussing dangerous things not to do. And I'll also cover the extreme form of staying upright that takes place in movies when people fight and run on top of train cars. My main concern at the moment is that I'll need help transforming my American English into British English. It seems we have different names for our subway systems and its parts. Luckily, I am getting help. The entry is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A5834766 The discussion thread is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F48874?thread=1059655&post=11790961
