Riding Skills
bedmechanic keeper of the tongue in cheek and guardian of the empty wallet Started conversation May 3, 2005
Yesterday (2nd of May) I went out on an observed ride.
What that means is two of you taking turns at leading go out on your bikes and are followed around by a policeman on another bike.
You have lunch and then do some more riding.
When you return he/she then gives you an honest assesment of your riding skills and then makes recomendations of how to improve.
I must say that I learned a few things in the pre ride chat and put them into affect improving my riding from the outset.
They only offer advice and are not there to train you but it is well worth the £20 or £30 (I can't remember now)that it costs.
