Brits' view of Americans

Post 1

Princess_Cimorene

Today I was browsing through people's conversations, and I noticed some of you Brits said all of us Americans are dim. For one thing, America is very big. It is huge compared to England. Since the population is so much larger than that of England, there is a higher concentration of every type of person. Including, I'm sorry to say, stupid people.

It doesn't matter who you are or where you go, there will always be stupid people around. Just because one woman out of I-don't-know-how-many-million Americans sued because her coffee was too hot doesn't mean that all of us would. Keep that in mind before you go yank-bashing again. It's not like we don't mind, because we do. No more need said.

Blatherskite the Mugwump - Bandwidth Bandit

I wouldn't be too hasty to implicate the coffee woman. I had a conversation with someone around here who was more familiar with the particulars... it seems that McDonald's got into the habit of keeping their coffee extremely hot, in order to cover up the fact that it was old and nasty. When that lady spilled it into her lap, it was somewhere near 160 degrees... sufficient to give her third-degree burns in a rather sensitive portion of her flesh. Coffee is normally served between 100-120 degrees, and will give you a first-degree burn before rapidly cooling from evaporation and providing you with a rather pleasurable sensation. smiley - winkeye

As for the bigoted Brits on this site... next time they start to bother you, just remember that their idea of a prince is Charles. smiley - tongueout

Colonel Sellers, who realizes that all the stupidest people in the world are the most bigoted.
