yepp! And I'm sooo excellent at procrastinating things!
Gratulation und Aber Hallo...
Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jun 29, 2001
but there is one thing I worked hard for, and succeeded an hour ago - by doing *nothing*!! I succeeded in owning the very, very last thread on the Peer Review!
Cheers to that!

I think that deserves a warm round of applause. Was it an ambition, or something you managed to do without trying?
*claps enthusiastically*

Well, I have to admit that it didn't start that way. Of course I wanted the entry to go through the system and get into the Edited Guide. But after some months of languishing there started a kind of 'race to the bottom' between me and Lucinda (with 'Litany against Fear') . I caught Lucinda at position 8 from the bottom and shot it right to the top .
Yesterday, after seeing it was the fourth last thread on PR, I took the freedom of commenting on the other three, and , Endless Loops is marking the end. One needs a target, and at the moment I'm aiming at celebrating its birthday in PR.
well, and well worth another

Well, frankly I'm only trying to make the best out of it. I like the entry the way it is, and Guide-worthy all the way through. OK if the other Scouts disagree. But after all, it's a good example to show around, along the lines of:
'hey look, you're better of than me. The Very End Of PR is mine, and I'm a Scout. Why do you complain'
or so. Perhaps this doesn't really help other researchers, I'm not too sure. Have another !

I see your point
I'll make a note not to moan about languishing threads in your vicinity then.
? Don't mind if I do.

Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jul 4, 2001
No, I don't mind
I'm just coming back from tracking the ways of 'Con artists'... don't really understand that the Towers are *this* sensitive. The Molotov entry was on the front page today ?!
languishing... I've sent another entry down to join the other
BTW, there's a new row of to your left

Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jul 4, 2001
Ugh! The race is open again! Another Scout has blown my entry to the top of PR. Now where the **** is Lucinda's entry?
Gratulation und Aber Hallo...
Researcher 168963 Posted Jul 5, 2001
A line of ? What would I want with them?
I'm bewildered about the 'con..' entry, but I had trouble with it all the way through, moderators stealing it etc, so it is at least progressing from there. It was a bit of a silly idea for the guide really

Naah, I tend to disagree.
What embarrassed me most was that the thread was moved to the WW without any signs, and I've posted my point of view to the Scouts' eGroup.
With an hour or two of searching I'm sure I could come back with more than a handful of Molotov-like entries in the Edited Guide! Of course it depends on which point of view is taken. Well, I know this discussion isn't new. IMHO the basic point is that an entry
'How to make an earthquake'
would surely be rejected, whereas
'How to protect yourself from earthquakes being thrown at you, with a little description of how the bad guys do it'
could make it.
Have some, don't panic

BTW, you're number 7 in the 'researchers with the most postings in 24 hours' ratings.
I received an apology for the oversight on the moved article, and it doesn't matter too much anyway. Now I should get to work on it though .
Gratulation und Aber Hallo...
Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jul 5, 2001
Too sorry we can't have hit counters on h2g2
Right now I would write an Entry (two lines only) with the title 'How to make earthquakes', just to find out how many people would look out for stuff like that
Me at #7 on the list? This can only mean that Shea is already in the air, on her way to the London meeting!

Irrelavent and dubiousely moral entries were what the original guide was all about. Tell me, if you're allowed, was the entry really chucked off because it needed polishing, or was it because of the whole breaking the law thing? I accept that it did need improving, it's just that your comments have started me wondering...
Have you seen the new smilies? I'm impressed with , and most, along with and . Sorry, but this was the first chance I got to use them.
Gratulation und Aber Hallo...
Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jul 10, 2001
I gather it was mainly the polishing thingy...
Yes, there's an awful lot to learn, and I'm still procrastinating to print all the new smiley codes. However, there's no wheat beer smiley
I'll try one the new ones:

Thats OK then...wouldn't like to think my name was being blacklisted.
Anyway, I digress- back to the theme.
