You got to love the long weekend
or as they say in france
Le Weekend Longue assuming that
they're given half a chance.
The bearded loons of gallic roots
are often heard to spout
that french is being bullied
by the English language lout.
It marches in across La Manche
and elbows through the door
Barging fenchy words aside
and throwing them to the floor.
Le Hamburger, le roundabout
(the second isn't true)
They are enough to induce
the cries of "Sacre blue!"
I think I've erred a little bit
as I am want to do
So I have decided now
to bid you toodleoo.
The smell, the smoke, the filth the muck
I so need to evade
I wouldn't stay here this weekend
Not even if they paid.
Adieu, Adieu, Adieu, Adieu
until sweet Wimpy's morn
I'm packing off tut country now
for a weekend on the lawn. 
Have a good one people
