I didn't go there (well - not recently) just watched it on TV...

(sadly we're now out of euro2000 - shame... )

but it's still not fair to put all the blame on phil neville. keegan made some tactically unsound decisions, such aas putting barmby on, who is an attacking midfielder, when he should have been concentrating on sitting on the point that we would have got had we kept romania to a draw. you know, that single point we needed to qualify for the next round. however, we would have been playing the azzurri (italy) in the next round, so we would have gone out then anyway. we really need more of our players to go and pay in foreign leagues so that they are more capable of adapting to the style of other international teams in tournaments. at the minute the only England team member in a foreign league is steve mcmanaman and there's no denying that he's become a better player since he went to real madrid. sorry, i'm rabbiting on a bit now aren't i?

no point blaming anyone - we were outclassed, and our luck couldn't hold forever...

we were outclassed because we don't have enough players in forgein leagues. having said that, if michael owen or nicky barmby EVER left liverpool i'd have to kill houllier.
