Gastrectomy revision in Guide ML
frontiersman Started conversation Apr 29, 2005
I revised the Gastrectomy piece in Guide ML this evening (29/04/05).
Now know how to write in this form for future entries, as learned by trial and error + a little reading of the instructions!

Looks good. Can I suggest you can add some paragraph divisions as well? That way it doesn't look like long (aww, I sometimes really do not know how to express myself in English) blocks of texts but adding blank spaces can give the reader a sensation of rest.

Thank you, Krabatt, for that great idea! I've just taken another look at it, and you are quite correct! You know, it never even 'jumped out' at me that I hadn't considered paragraphic form in the piece! It just shows how 'blind' we can be, or become, when reviewing our own work. We tend to see our own through rose coloured spectacles!
I'll put your suggestion into practice ASAP!
Keep in touch, your advice is needed!

Hi Chipsy-whipsy!
Why don't you make that 'Smithy' or 'Smithery'; I'm sure there was one somewhere in my dissolute ancestry!

I did some bumping. I hope you get the drift of what I tried to clarify in the conversation thread at PR.

Thank you, ltp, for your interest. But was this really intended for me?
Call me an idiot, but I don't understand your meaning! (We oldies are not up with the modern tech jargon, esp. this oldie!) I shall, however, click on the link you have kindly provided. If you wouldn't mind, could you expand on your advice for me? I'd be grateful.

First you were intellectual posh ron

now you're an fman
I've read your PSs personal spaces, whatever.
Anyway, congratulations, you're in the Guide and Scout Movement

Hi Chips,
Yes, it must be puzzling to you, all these changes of name. You've probably already read my answers to your anticipated questions on the other thread by now! (See, I can even read your thoughts, I've always been good at that! It's what comes of being an auditor for 20 years).
Anyway, you've got me on that one; what's it mean, 'I'm in the Guide and Scout Movement?' Are you up to your old tricks of pulling my leg again? They're long enough already!
Enlighten me; or put me put of my misery!

Sorry Ron
I meant to ask
why have you changed your name. 'Ron Bloggs' was so butch.
why have you changed your PS style.
Guide entry - you were spotted by a scout (well, so somebody said), so I was trying to be clever. Won't try that again.
When am I enigmatic

Enigmatic?
Always Dear, always!
Well, I am trying to hide! I posted something just a little embarrassing to someone very dear to me!
Ever had the feeling?
Might go back to first nickname in due course if nothing comes of my little blunder.
The scout bit intrigues me, please tell me more!

Ron, you know you can tell me. I am the soul of discretion, who is very dear to you and what did you say.
OMG, not Mrs B ?
I shall rummage around - but only for 5 mins - and see if I can find it.
