I finally unmasked at the ball, and it turned out that I fooled some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. No suprise there. Now I've got my own adgenda. Darth Noire and I have made some progress on foiling the Zork mission (we have their navigator and two of their ships), but the mission itself is being delayed because all the protagonists and antagonists are having milk and cookies.
Chrome101 and I are now mortal enemies and I'm dueling with him on a rooftop somewhere. That and I'm vandalising his forums until he pays me a ransom of donuts.
The game of Twister on the STUMPED page is getting weirder and weirder, and I'm thinking of going into Black Magic and Voodoo. I'm also thinking of hanging a picture of myself on this page. It's really the picture of Irving that Lil made for the Book Nook, but I think I could use a graphics program to put a skull mask on it and dress him in black. It wouldn't look quite as spectacular as Lil's original, though.
Well, back to the battles.
Maliciously Yours,
Red

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you saying that you fooled all of the people some of the time... I knew who you were all of the time... But that's mostly because the Mask - no, sorry, the Masque - appeared right after I had reminded Irving about the ball... And of course those :: which I also had just noticed in the Space Centre by Irving... Then there was Red pretending he didn't know Irving which would surely be impossible in Damogran... I already said I'm sorry but I just had to tell you that... Oh, and one more: The Poe-things and Irving's name was too obvious... And hey, the Monty Python too... Sorrysorry... I'm gone, okay... And it was a GREAT COSTUME and greatly played too... No one even tried to guess who PiB was... Okayokay, I'm already gone!! *runs to the Space Centre wondering how she can explain being stuck in the ship whole week*

Excuse me?!
"Chrome101 and I are now mortal enemies and I'm duelling with him on a rooftop somewhere. That and I'm vandalising his forums until he pays me a ransom of donuts."
Hey, I never said anything about mortal enemies. That duel is just a bit of harmless (cheesy, action-flick-ripoff) fun, and as for the bomb in the donuts ... well, the vandalism was starting to annoy me, and I wanted to get my own back. I guess there's a bit of the super-villian in each one of us...
What do say, when (or if) we reach the end of the duel, it will result in a truce...

I'm sorry for the misconceptions. I figured since we were dueling, that makes us enemies (for the time anyway) and since we've battled with forks, sporks, guns, and bombs, that makes it mortal. I didn't mean that I had anything /against/ you, just that I thought maybe you were sort of like the Batman to my Joker, or the Javier to my Jean Valjean.
And Alien I guess you knew fairly well. However, I've met, through the Cheese, a researcher named Red Petunia who uses :: instead of * habitually. Apparently the Cheese thought that I was Red Petunia, or possibly Bruce. The reason no one tried to guess PiB is that everyone assumed it was Dr. John without saying anything. I think yours was the hardest to guess at the party.
Regarding the title (Conquest is Sweet)... I've been getting my rear end kicked by my good friend Chrome101. First he knocks me half out of my senses to where my only choice is to dissappear off the edge of a tall building, then he blows up my dognuts! I guess that the Villain just doesn't get to win often. I'll be back on the rooftop once I've got some more ammo, Chrome.

Oh, and Alien? I've got to ask... what does the name Irving Washington have to do with the name The Masque of the Red Rejection eMail? I realize that Poe and Heller are both American novelists, but the connections (as far as I know) stop there. One is a nineteenth century poet and novelist who pioneered horror literature and the detective story. The other is a 20th century author who writes social satire. The Masque of the Red Death is about the Plague, and Catch-22 is about World War II. Both, I suppose are set in Europe... The Masque is a disease, whereas Irving Washington is a forged signature. There are many, many literary allusions in nicknames on this site. I don't see the connection between Red and Irv.

I didn't actually mean the connection between Heller & Poe but Washington Irving & Poe... But now that you mention it I remember reading that you didn't take your name after Washington Irving but from that Heller's book... OK, perhaps there wasn't any connection... But at least I thought there was... And besides, the title of Irving's user page says "Irving Washington / Washington Irving"... But anyway, if I was mistaken, I'm sorry...

Or the Agent Smith to my Neo?
*said too much*
I'm glad that the duel is continuing, I wasn't planning on letting it end too soon.
Oh, and thanks for all that information on Poe and the Masque of the Red Death. I'm quite interested now...

It's an interesting story. I just re-read it which is why my name is now "Masque" instead of "Mask" -- Poe spells the title "Masque". And yes, in Heller, Yossarian first forges the signature of Washington Irving, and when that gets boring, he switches to Irving Washington. Which is why Irv's homepage is "Irving Washington/Washington Irving".
Maybe I *am* the Agent Smith to your Neo, Chrome, but then shouldn't *I* be in with the establishment, and *you* be the rebel?
