Yet again the EU is trying to shaft the UK. The UK's rebate shouldn't come to an end until the CAP is completely scrapped and the French start to pay their way!

Then there's the seeming rise of fascism in Italy...

WOW!!! For the first time in about a decade I'm actually happy about something Blair is appears to be doing.

What's that?

Well it seems he has softened his position since, but I was pleased when he seemed to be trying gather support for a reduction in CAP spending in return for a freeze on the UK's rebate which effectively let the 10 new EU memeber off the hook for their s'posed contribution to it.
I think France should be paying for it's own subsidies. And Germany deserve a small rebate of it's own.
I would have a problem with the CAP if it was used to only to subsidise farms transfering to Organic. But that would still leave the common fisheries stuff to get mi goat.
